BIG Equity And Diversity Training Baltimore Md

When it comes equal rights, one area in which the issue is currently being addressed head on is that of the East Coast. For, while there has been a great deal of progress when it comes to acceptance, inclusion and tolerance of difference, there is still a long way to go. As such, Diversity training baltimore md and other areas up and down the eastern seaboard is an ongoing process.

In Baltimore, as in other areas, there are always issues when it comes to acceptance, inclusion and equity among students and others. For, different individuals were brought up with differing family values and often live according to the ideologies and rules associated with nuclear family models. While this is the case, there are others whom were brought up in non-traditional or more accepting and tolerant households.

While training the organizational leadership, student body, members and ensemble is the first step, the group also hopes to include aspects of training in each and every performance. For, the group feels if the audience can relate to the message of equality in art, there may be a better chance for communities to embrace the concept. As a result, the group then hopes those in attendance will continue to spread the message outside the confines of the theater.

Having a focus on equal rights, the priority for the group is gain this type of acceptance and understanding among all people. In doing so, the group exposes improv to underserved communities and aspiring comedians and actors. By offering free admission to all performances, the group hopes the messages within each skit will reach in-house audiences as well as those outside the theater.

The goal of the group is to create art which is not only inclusive but accessible to people of color, veterans, military members, senior citizens, physically challenged individuals, immigrants and those identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community. For, these individuals along with others are a number of reasons to create a more inclusive theater going experience. Ultimately, the primary reason is to create better and more respectful art performed by actors and comedians.

As the ultimate overall goal of the group is to train actors, comedians and others to be more aware and accepting of difference, there are three areas of focus for those attending the improv university. The first of which is to increase access to performance based theater through a number of scholarships. By providing such assistance, the goal is to raise awareness of students and performers with regards to empathy, inclusion, equity and diversity in all areas of life.

By providing scholarships, the group allows underserved youth a chance to perform by learning the art of improv. Whereas, building bridges across community organizations, colleges and corporations can help educate employees, students, volunteers on how to become more accepting of others. While, providing ongoing talent opportunities and supporting mentorship will only continue to strengthen the organization.

The goal of all such programs being to promote diversity while providing insight, information and knowledge to those attending events and workshops. For, when individuals learn to include, tolerate and accept difference in performance and life, the world will be a better place. As such, the group hopes those involved in the organization whether as performers or part of an audience will take part in the ongoing fight for equal rights now, and in the future.
